I think TC is happy to have me home. She's been plastered to my lap for the past couple hours or so.
It's a rainy, yucky, cold and wet sort of day here, so why don't we look at some fabric with a slightly happy theme?
The style is, of course, modeled after Henri Matisse's work, but as a fabric I think it's just lovely. I wouldn't perhaps use it in a quilt, but I think as a bag/wallet combo it would be really striking.
I'm not usually a fan of text-based fabrics, but this is just too charming to pass up. And besides, since we're going with a sort of France-themed Wishful Wednesday, why not include some ads from the lonely hearts of the world?
And to complete the trifecta, here's a lovely map of Paris. I don't know why folks are so obsessed with the layout of Paris's streets--having only ever known the absolute chaos of Boston, I don't see how it's any different than your average labyrinth, but I will admit the city's layout has a certain artistic charm to it.
See you Saturday!
Marisa
