Wishful Wednesday #2

So instead of talking about the machine I'd like to someday get I decided to highlight some really lovely fabrics that I hope to play with in the future.


The Sparrows in Cavern fabric above (Joel Dewberry, who also did the Deer Valley fabric I used in Glenn's quilt) is just so quietly beautiful. Maybe it's because I wake up every morning to titmice and finches at my bird feeder, or maybe it's because I have to defend said feeder from the damn squirrel who found it and figured out how to get up there, but I love these little birds. I think this color way in particular is wonderful because it suits my mood at the moment--dark, somber, yet with a hint of life. Side note, I'm fighting off my yearly bout of bronchitis, so bear with me if the meds take over. ;)

Speaking of Glenn's quilt, this is version 2.0 of the Castle Peeps fabric I used, appropriately titled 1001 Peeps. I love it just as much as the first one, and it's lovely to see the 'other' side of castles. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Western medievalness, but sometimes a girl just wants to go East, you know what I mean? I will definitely be picking up some of that... Once I finish something... Damn.

I think I'll just stick with those two collections for now, but let me know if you see any neat looking fabric. I'll have an update on the quilt soon, I promise; I'm just feeling so rotten from coughing and sneezing and all that lovely stuff it's hard to motivate myself. Have fun!
