Snow everywhere.

7:00 AM this morning.
I don't think it has stopped snowing since Friday. Today is the first day I've woken up and been able to see across the road to the dorm in the picture there. My poor little bird feeders have been completely covered in snow.

In short, holy mother of God we got a lot of snow. I think we're up to a foot and a half, two feet in some places.

On the quilting front I'm much happier with the new quilting technique I have going. Because it's so big and my sewing machine is so little I've been quilting the sides of the boxes all in one direction across a row, and then I've gone back and quilted them the other way. This way I'm not trying to quilt one-handed while I hold down the reverse lever on my sewing machine. Note to self: when buying next machine, make sure it has a button you can press/un-press! And make sure it has an enormously long arm. Hell, just get a long-arm, okay future self? Glenn won't mind at all. Really. I am kidding, honey, I know there's no room in the apartment.

Still a little messy, but I like it a lot more.
I'm also taking the radical step of pulling my threads through and knotting them in the back. It's a pain in the butt since my only needles are enormous and meant for mending my jeans, but I'm chugging along. I have two rows completely quilted, leaving just five or six more to do.

The blue thread on the bobbin. Took me a little while to get
the tension right, but the effect is worth it.
Now it's time for me to go get some breakfast and work out. I've discovered to my dismay that my shoulder (which has been problematic for quite some time) only gets better if I consistently work out every day. BLEH.
